But it seems to me clearly ok in philosophy (according to implicit social norms, anyhow) to present the same work in multiple venues over the course of a year, maybe two. But seeing <i>exactly</i> the same presentation in two subsequent presentations, unless maybe they are only a week or two apart, means that the author isn't paying attention to feedback or doesn't care, and isn't trying to develop the thing over time.
